Shredded AI ("we," "us," "our") is a mobile app that scores your physique from photos and builds a training and nutrition plan around it. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
Body photos. When you scan, we collect the front and side photos you take in-app. These are analyzed to score your physique (chest, back, shoulders, arms, legs, core), estimate body composition, and generate your plan.
Account information. Your Apple ID (via Sign in with Apple) and the username you choose.
Health and fitness information. Height, weight, age, gender, training goal (cut, bulk, or recomp), training experience, training frequency, gym equipment access, diet habits, sleep hours, and any struggles you tell us about during onboarding.
Food log data. Meals you log, including photos of meals and text descriptions you write, plus barcode scans. Barcodes are matched against the public OpenFoodFacts database; meal photos and descriptions are analyzed by OpenAI to estimate calories, macros, and a health score.
Coach chat messages. Messages you send to the in-app AI coach, and the responses you receive.
Usage data. General in-app activity and behavior, collected to understand how the app is used and to fix problems.
Subscription and payment data. Handled entirely by Apple's App Store and our subscription platform, RevenueCat. We never see or store your card number.
We collect this information to run the app's core features: scoring your scans, personalizing your training and nutrition plan, tracking your progress over time, logging food, powering the AI coach, and keeping your account secure. We don't collect anything beyond what's needed for these features, and we don't use your data for advertising.
We use a small number of service providers to run the app. Each receives only the specific data needed to perform its function, and none are permitted to use your data for their own purposes, for advertising, or to train their own AI models.
OpenAI — receives your front and side scan photos, together with your height, weight, age, and gender, to generate your physique scores; your coach chat messages, to generate responses; photos and text descriptions of meals you log, to estimate calories, macros, and a health score; and your onboarding answers and scan scores, to generate your personalized daily plan and habit checklist. OpenAI processes this data only to fulfill each request and does not use it to train its models.
Supabase — handles account authentication, our database, and secure storage of your scan photos.
RevenueCat — manages subscriptions and purchases; receives your purchase and subscription status, not your payment details.
OpenFoodFacts — a public food database used for barcode lookups. No personal or identifying data is sent to it.
Apple — provides Sign in with Apple and processes payments through the App Store.
